Can I participate in Band and other activities such as athletics at the same time?
Absolutely! In fact, many students are involved in several organizations at CRHS, and the band directors work with coaches and other sponsors regarding schedules. If you think about it, sports help band and vice versa.
How much does it cost to participate in the CRHS Eagle Band program?
Unlike many other band programs, we do not require a participation fee to be in Band. If a student uses one of the district-owned instruments, then they are only required to pay the $30 Instrument Usage Fee each semester. This fee can even be waived if the student is on a free-lunch program simply by returning the proper form. Other expenses are minimal. These include: band shoes (around $20), band T-shirt (around $10), and one pair of band gloves ($1.00). Students playing clarinet, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon must buy reeds. For each football game, each student should bring $.50 for bottled water. If a band trip is planned, then the Directors expect that all costs could be covered by fund raising activities.
Do I have to attend the Summer Band Sessions to participate in the CRHS Eagle Band program?
Yes. If you do not attend, then you will become an alternate for the Fall Marching Season. That will not be any fun at all! Please read the "Summer Band" information by following the "Summer Band" link to the left for more details.
